The Team

Norman Tang

Chief Investment Officer

Norman Tang is a Director of PruLev Capital Pte Ltd. He is also the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of PruLev Global Macro Fund. Norman established the fund in 2012 and developed the quantitative global macro portfolio model and the risk management system used by the Fund. Over the last 10 years, under Norman’s stewardship PruLev Global Macro Fund has received multiple HFM Asia Hedge Fund performance awards.    

 

Prior to setting up PruLev Global Macro Fund, Norman spent 8 years at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore as Head of Market Risk Analytics responsible for the development of the bank’s market risk management models and validating the pricing models for both simple and exotic derivate products across all asset classes. 

 

Norman holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia. He also holds a Risk Manager Certification by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Dinesh Gang

Chief Executive Officer

Dinesh Gang is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PruLev Capital Pte Ltd and the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of PruLev Global Macro Fund. He is a seasoned financial services professional with over 30 years of international experience in risk management across both Emerging and Developed Markets at leading global financial institutions such as DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. 

 

Prior to being associated with PruLev Global Macro Fund, Dinesh was a Senior Consultant at DBS Bank. Before that, Dinesh spent 13 years at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore in various Risk roles including Group Head of Risk Operations and Deputy Head of Market Risk with product responsibilities for FX, Fixed Income, Credit and Equities. Dinesh started his career at Bankers Trust in New York City in 1987 as a quantitative analyst. 

 

Dinesh holds a M.Sc. in Statistics and Operations Research from New York University, a M.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Columbia University and a B.Tech. in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

August Li

Portfolio Manager

August Li is the Portfolio Manager of PruLev Global Macro Fund. In addition to co-management of the Fund’s portfolio, August is also responsible for economic, historical and geopolitical market research, marketing of the Fund and investor relations. 

 

Prior to joining the Fund, August was a senior consultant in Asia Pacific performing economic feasibility studies and productivity improvement projects at ABB, an engineering multinational whose customers were major commodity producers in various industries (oil / gas / petrochemicals, pulp & paper, palm oil, metals, minerals and mining).  

 

August holds an M.Sc. in Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) from National University of Singapore (NUS) and a B. Eng. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Indonesia.

Rieman Tang

Portfolio Manager

Rieman Tang is a Portfolio Manager of PruLev Global Macro Fund. He is also responsible for the data analytics and quantitative tools used by the fund. In his previous role, Rieman was a portfolio manager with a single family office.

 

Prior to joining the financial industry, Rieman worked as a Project Manager at IBM and Honeywell delivering data mining, automation and transformation projects at financial institutions and large multinational corporations. 

 

Rieman holds M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and a B.Eng. in Environmental Engineering from Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Indonesia.
